autumn 2012, trick or treat #osteoporosis

Every fall season Sierra and I meet at Starbuck's and read children's book, Junie B., First Grader, Boo...and I mean it! It is our Halloween tradition. When Dad is available, he joins us.

We own several Junie B. books, but not this particular one. We stopped at the library and discovered it had closed early for a special event.  (Trick -- boo, for real, and I mean it)

We rallied quickly because, next, is Target!  Shopping at Target is like sitting next to a crackling fire, the whole family gathered together, playing boardgames. History: every city our kids have lived in (except Athens, OH) has a Target. It's often our last stop before we part ways. And they have Pizza Hut breadsticks for Si.

***run-on-rambling warning*** Dad joined us. We sipped toastie warm drinks, (Treat!) and discussed Sierra's plans to study abroad.

We got caught up.
Told Si I recently got a bone density scan to check for
potential osteoporosis.

Next, we tell Dad that Si got cute cowboy boots.

At long last, the hashtags. Si mentioned tweeting. Then patiently, long-sufferingly, she explained hashtags to Dad and me. Si showed a recent sibling-rivalry conversation she'd had with her brother. Good stuff.
